New Alimony Bill passes Senate
Posted on Apr 5, 2013 5:40am PDT
SB 718 has been passed by the Florida Senate. This bill bans permanent alimony
and dictates that a Judge must order 50/50 timesharing (custody) unless
there are extenuating circumstances. This is a substantial change to the
current law. The Florida House of Representatives is considering a similar
bill named
HB 231.
The next step is for the Bill to be either signed or vetoed by the Governor.
